With our new Interest Targeting solution for restaurants, brands can tap into our unmatched scale and reach the right customers based on their actual ordering behavior. For their Sponsored Listing and Promotion campaigns, advertisers can now choose to target audiences based on their affinity to certain dish types e.g. target users who are interested in rice bowls. The solution uses data from consumer behavior on our platform based on their past order history, and predicts the likelihood of them converting on the selected category. This targeting type can also be combined with other targeting solutions such as all, new, DashPass members, dayparting etc.

Ultimately, this solution helps restaurants find customers who are most likely to convert, driving efficiency and lowering costs for their Sponsored Listing and Promotion campaigns.

Measure brand health using dish-level Category Share Insights 


Along with Interest Targeting, we have also built deeper insights for advertisers to understand their performance in various dish categories. With dish-level Category Share Insights, restaurants get a clear view of how they’re performing in their category and answer questions like:

“What percentage of orders in my burger category are coming to me - and what’s going to my competitors?” Ultimately, category share is a way for restaurants to understand how their business sales are trending relative to other restaurants in their category. 

Advertisers will be able to track share across various dish level categories, across various reporting options and over different dayparts such as breakfast, lunch, dinner. We calculate category share across all restaurant chains that have stores in the same submarkets with items in the same dish level category. This ensures that the metrics are most relevant for a restaurant to understand its competitive position.
