Powered by machine learning, Auto-bidding automatically adjusts bids in real time based on signals like auction competitiveness, relevance, and predicted performance to help advertisers drive stronger results without constant manual bid management.

Since launching last year, Auto-bidding has seen strong adoption from advertisers looking to simplify campaign management and improve performance. Auto-bidding helps advertisers maximize results more efficiently by optimizing each bid in real time, helping brands get more out of their budget while reducing the time spent monitoring campaigns and manually updating bids across keywords.

Now, advertisers can pair that automation with greater performance control by adding a minimum ROAS.

By specifying a minimum ROAS, advertisers can set the lowest acceptable ROAS for a campaign directly in Ads Manager. The system continues optimizing bids automatically while helping campaigns stay at or above the desired ROAS threshold. This gives advertisers more confidence to scale spend while maintaining efficiency goals.

Compared to custom campaigns, Auto-bidding already delivers 20% higher sales and 30% higher ROAS. Minimum ROAS builds on those results by helping advertisers maintain efficiency while continuing to benefit from automated optimization.

In testing conducted in February 2026, more than 95% of Auto-bidding campaigns exceeded their configured minimum ROAS target*, giving advertisers greater assurance that campaigns can stay aligned with performance goals while using Auto-bidding.
